Nathan Tataje is a husband, father, working-class citizen, and dedicated advocate for local families in Assembly District 51. Raised in Wisconsin, Nathan later attended college in the Rust Belt, where he developed a deep understanding of the economic and structural pressures facing modern working-class communities across the Midwest.
Driven by a commitment to his roots, Nathan then returned home to build his life, career, and family. Today, he lives with his wife and children in Arena, grounding his campaign in the everyday realities of our state’s small towns. Nathan remains deeply active in the local community, serving as the Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 7811. Through his local civic and faith-based work, he has dedicated himself to fostering a spirit of mutual support across southwestern Wisconsin.

A Foundation Built on Family
When we call for an end to “politics as usual,” it doesn’t just mean an end to partisan fighting. It means looking for a different kind of candidate entirely. Nathan’s campaign represents a complete departure from traditional politicians, driven instead by a deep commitment to the community that’s rooted in his own family's history.
As a first-generation American raised in Wisconsin, Nathan’s perspective was forged by his parents' journeys. His father, Dr. Daniel Tataje, immigrated to the United States from Peru, and his mother, Scarlet, immigrated from Nicaragua at just four years old—both determined to build a life through hard work and service.
This heritage directly shapes Nathan's platform. His leadership philosophy is heavily grounded in the practical values of servant leadership exemplified by his father. Dr. Tataje built Mercy Dental Group and Fathers for Christ from the ground up to serve the communities that welcomed his family to this state. He later wrote The Leader Humanity Needs to capture that mission, instilling a lifelong commitment to the "7 Marks of Leadership" in all of his children: integrity, respect, positivity, empathy, teamwork, service, and humility.
